Hi, my name is Hamish Lucas and I come from the Lake District in the north of England, although for two years I have lived in Scotland, near Glasgow. I am really happy to be teaching as an English Assistant in Vorarlberg, especially the BAfEP here in Feldkirch. I hope that by being a native speaker I can help the students improve their English, have fun in the classroom and learn more about English culture! (I should also say that I do not support Brexit and I will be campaigning to stay in the European Union!) In return I am looking forward to learning a lot more about Austrian/Vorarlberg culture – especially the food (Kasspätzle for example)! I love the outdoors so I am also looking forward to going hiking and skiing in Vorarlberg and Tirol, as well as travelling around Austria and Europe. I would like to thank the amazing teachers here too at the BAfEP for having me and making me feel so welcome, this is a great school with great students!
